Minnesota AD Resigns Amid Sexual Harassment Texts

University of Minnesota Athletic Director Norwood Teague has resigned after admitting that he sent sexual text messages to colleagues. Teague said that he decided to step down because of sexual harassment claims from two university employees and confessed that he “had too much to drink and sent inappropriate texts.”

Before Teague read his statement to a KARE 11 reporter, he stated “I honestly can’t remember half of it but that’s no excuse.” Having read Teague’s text messages which were recently uncovered, I think Teague’s stance on “I can’t remember half of it” is pretty accurate. They read like they were written by a five-year-old.

President of the University of Minnesota Eric Kaler has accepted the resignation and will be making a formal announcement at 12:15 PM.

No replacement for the Minnesota AD has been made yet, but you can read the full story in the court documents below.
