Vanderbilt Football’s Twitter account apologized for tweeted out an image reading “We Don’t NEED Your Permission” in reference to how tough their team was. That sounds pretty mean and nasty in a hoo-rah football type of way, but the problem is that there are currently four ex-Vanderbilt football players on trial for a rape on campus back in 2013.

If it weren’t for the current court case, we’d be of the opinion that the outrage is unwarranted. However since the alleged rape is likely still very much on the minds of the Vanderbilt administration, the Tweet was a poor decision.
