7 Times Jon Stewart Got America Through Hard Times

After 16 years of showing a different side of politics on The Daily Show, Jon Stewart is stepping down from his news chair tonight and passing the reigns to Trevor Noah. The transition is a difficult one, considering how much we’ve gone through with the politically savvy comedian, but we have the faith that Noah will uphold the show’s immaculate reputation.
To celebrate Stewart’s departure, we’re going through the top seven most epic moments from The Daily Show. Whether it was inspiring words or a much-needed laugh after a tragedy, Stewart held the country’s attention through some of our nation’s toughest times, and we’ll miss him for that.
Watch Jon Stewart’s final show tonight at 11 p.m. on Comedy Central, and check out his best moments below. #JonVoyage.
