Beasts of No Nation, an upcoming Netflix original movie, looks like something you’re going to need some time aside to watch. It tells the story of a young West African boy, Agu, from an unnamed nation who is forced to become a child soldier after Civil War completely destroys his country.
You want to watch a movie that’ll f*ck your head up? Watch something about a kid who turns into a monster. Oh and did we mention it’s written and directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, the guy who directed True Detective, and starring Idris Elba?

The movie was originally meant to come out in theaters, but the four major players (AMC, Regal, Cinemark and Carmike) refused to show it because of the violence. Now it’ll release on Netflix who will make a zillion dollars and select theaters so that it can get Oscar nominations.
