In today’s weird news, an NYC ice cream truck driver was arrested late Friday after allegedly driving the vehicle around in his underwear while completely strung out and screaming at children. No amount of soft serve will make up for that childhood trauma.
According to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, deputies showed up at the scene after receiving complaints that a male ice cream truck driver was screaming at children while basically being completely undressed.
According to WSLS,
Police said they arrived to find Ryan Duff, a 24-year-old man, wearing only his underwear.
A police investigation led officers to believe he was under the influence, so they arrested him and brought him in for drug testing. Although Duff refused testing, police said a drug recognition expert decided he was impaired by drugs.
Duff was charged with DWI and other offenses before being released to a sober drive. He was not given a SpongeBob ice pop before leaving.
