The U.S. Loves Their Curse Words, According to Twitter

Cursing is our favorite thing – it’s great how the word “f*ck” can be used as a noun, adjective, verb, and adverb – and British linguist Jack Griever proves we’re not alone.

Griever compiled Twitter data from 2013-2014 to find out which curse words are most popular in which state. The areas with orange indicated the most frequent usage and blue is the least.

Based on his findings, Griever found that East Coast and West Coast unite when it comes to using the term “f*ckboy,” while the south loves using the term “b*tch.” But like, don’t we all?
