When asked the question on Friday’s episode of ‘Jeopardy!‘, “In common law, the age of this, signaling adulthood, is presumed to be 14 in boys and 12 in girls,” contestant Tom responded by saying, “What is the age of consent?”
The (what should be obvious) answer is ‘puberty,’ but obviously this guy had something else on his mind. Apparently host Alex Trebeck was just as horrified by his answer as the rest of America. He responded with a judgy, “No.”
