Jacksonville Jaguars' Dwayne Gratz Tries To Pay For Items With Bubble Gum

People go to the stores all the time and forget to bring money with them or simply stumble into a store after having a few drinks. For Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Dwayne Gratz, his Sunday morning was one that will be remembered for bubble gum. After being told that wouldn’t work by the Miami Beach Police Department, Gratz began to argue with an employee and refused to leave the store. When police arrived, they noticed Gratz had bloodshot eyes and smelled like alcohol and once again, Gratz said he wasn’t leaving. He was then arrested and charged with trespassing and disorderly intoxication.
The team has said they will handle this internally but this must be a lesson to anyone thinking that they can pay with bubble gum or even pieces of string. It isn’t going to work out well. Gratz should be happy if he still has a job when this whole thing blows over. It would appear that Gratz’s bubble burst on buying those items early in the morning.
