Austin Seferian-Jenkins Apologizes For Proudly Posting Penalty Picture

The NFL has stood for the No Fun League for many years now. Another classic example came up on Sunday when Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie Austin Seferian-Jenkins scored a touchdown and went into a celebration that caused a flag to be thrown. The penalty allowed the Atlanta Falcons to get great field position to score a winning touchdown.
Seferian-Jenkins then posted a photo of his pose on his Instagram account–which he had to apologize for on Monday. He just made it twice as bad going with the photo online, though. There was nothing really wrong with the pose. He kind of looked like Captain Morgan. The NFL still frowns on anything fun going on after a touchdown is scored, and that’s a shame.
Seferian-Jenkins will move on from his incident, and remember for next time not to do those same things again. The NFL will keep insisting that players just hand the touchdown ball to the officials and then quietly walk back to the sidelines. Hopefully, that.ll change. Until then, the apology train just keeps rolling.
