Artie Lange Apologizes For Tweets, Crushes Race Wars Show

Artie Lange performed last night at The Village Underground in NYC at a live version of Sherrod Small and Kurt Metzger‘s podcast Race Wars. Small and Metzger were also joined by a number of other comedians including Dave Attell, Wil Sylvince, Kareem Green, Kaytlin Bailey, and surprise guests Hannibal Buress and Michael Che.

The show was dirty, edgy, inappropriate, and fun as hell. The crowd was full of energy, and Sherrod and Kurt kept that energy going between each set. Artie was the final act of the night and after dishing out some classic self-deprecating jokes, he concluded with what sure seemed to be a sincere apology for his words on social media.

After the show, the comics all hung around and continued cracking jokes, taking pictures and smoking cigarettes with audience members. The New York Comedy Festival may be in it’s early stages–but as far as I’m concerned the best show has already happened.
