Twisty–that being the homicidal clown from American Horror Story: Freak Show–is quite possibly the most terrifying clown of all time. According to our friends over at The Huffington Post, you’d never recognize the actor behind the murderous clown’s blood-splattered face. His name is John Carroll Lynch, and he has actually played a number of well-known characters in film and television, such as the lead suspect in Zodiac and Fred on the FX show The Americans.
