Why HBO’s Move Could Kill Cable
HBO has announced that it will launch a stand-alone streaming service next year, which basically means there’s almost no reason anyone will ever need a cable subscription. According to our friends over at Newser, people who hate the expensive bundles offered by cable companies will be able to cut the cord and still get high-quality shows. People will finally be able to pick and choose which shows they’re going to pay to watch.
