When Taking a Dave Grohl Selfie Goes Horribly Wrong

Last night the Foo Fighters premiered their new HBO series Sonic Highways at the Ed Sullivan Theater here in New York. Immediately after the screening the band came out and played a set for the small 400-person audience. The audience was full of friends, family, and me.

For one song the Foo Fighters were joined by the Wilson sisters from Heart, which was pretty awesome – but the best part of the night for me, as you can see above, was taking a failed selfie with Dave Grohl. I posed like a giddy school boy who has just entered summer vacation as Mr. Grohl turned and walked away about a half second too early.
