The dedicated Beer Geeks are always on the road in search of amazing beers, and it was pretty inevitable that they finally hit the most micro of microbreweries in Portland, Oregon. The legendary Hair of the Dog brew house has a very limited output of less than 700 barrels a year–and owner Alan Sprints isn’t in a hurry to give up quality control.
That makes Hair of the Dog a major destination for any beer connoisseur. And the Beer Geeks know their way around a place like Hair of the Dog–especially since we have Michael Ferguson asking the questions here, and that guy’s a respected name in the brewery biz, too. That’s why Beer Geeks has ended up on Ora.tv, with their trip to Portland celebrating their joining the likes of Larry King, William Shatner, and more.
This episode is a true meeting of Beer Geeks, and there’s more than just talk about hops. Alan Sipes love cooking with beer, too, and you’re going to get inspired to make your own version of his Chuck Norris Duck Wings. The only problem is that you won’t be able to cook up your wings with a brew from Hair of the Dog–unless you’re heading out to Portland, and watching this episode of Beer Geeks might get you packing your bags…
