The Saints Row video game series found an ingenious way to become even crazier and that’s a pretty high bar for a game that considers using satellite controlled missiles to take out street gangs and turning massive, floppy sexual aids into weapons to be “standard fare.” Volition and Deep Silver announced a new standalone expansion for Saints Row IV called Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell.
This time, America’s President for life and greatest hero has been kidnapped by Satan to give his daughter Jezebel a husband and bring about the end times on Earth. So it’s up to Saints leader Johnny Gat to jump through the portal to Hell and shoot a bunch of demons in the face in order to rescue the President and save all of mankind from being sucked into a nightmarish landscape. That’s right, you get to play the entire game as Johnny Gat and you even will get to fight Satan in order to fulfill your vow to shoot the most evil motherf#*$er of all time squarely in his fat, red face.
And the trailer is just as insane as we’re hoping for the game that comes out this November…

The Saints Row games hold nothing back and just let every wacky and insane idea work their way into the story and the gameplay whether it’s the over-the-top concept of fighting Satan one on one with an array of ridiculous guns or the fact that the entire game takes place in a urban nightmare designed to be Hell. The Saints Row games also released way more expansions and DLC than most franchises but it was all worth it if it was building up to something that looks and sounds this epic.
