Another Assassin’s Creed game is headed to the consoles and this time, a new assassin is stepping into the fray.
A new teaser trailer just hit the web straight from the floor of the San Diego Comic-Con for Assassin’s Creed Unity. This time, the game is set against the backdrop of a corrupt and violent 18th century France just before the start of the French Revolution. This game features two assassins squaring off against corrupt leaders who are just begging to be stabbed in the neck with a retractable wrist knife. Players can play as Arno, the skilled and more experienced Templar assassin or Elise, a determined apprentice who is saved by Arno and wants to prove her worth as a stealthy and deadly assassin to the leaders of the Templar. Just like the other games in the series, the story throws the player into a momentous time in world history. This time, it’s the French Revolution as Arno and Elise team up to expose and punish the true corruption behind the historic uprising. The recently released trailer shows the pivotal moment when Arno saves Elise just before her head is literally placed on the chopping block…

We’re more than a little excited for this one and not just because we get to play as two different assassins in the same game. The Assassin’s Creed franchise is one of the few video game properties that manages to improve with every new game on just about level such as gameplay, story and and interactivity. Who knew that sneaking up on people and secretly stabbing them would never get boring?
