Germany Breaks The World Cup–And More Morning Links



Following Germany’s World Cup win over Argentina last week the team was welcomed home by about a half million fans in Berlin, and according to our friends over at Newser, the German team chipped their trophy in the midst of partying. Luckily it’s only a replica, because the real World Cup is worth about $13.5 million. German Football Association President Wolfgang Niersbach says not to worry, because they “have specialists on the case who can fix it.”
