A Real Life "Spongebob" Krusty Krab Restaurant Is Being Built In Palestine

According to some initial reports, it seems like there is a real Krusty Krab–the restaurant where Spongebob Squarepants works as a line chef–being built in Ramallah, Palestine.

This Facebook page seems to indicate that it could be an extension of the Salta3 Burger franchise. Other than an email address registered to “Salta3Burger.co@Gmail.com” there’s not much else we can find on Salta3. We welcome some insight from our Palestinian COED readers, though.

As you’ll see in the photos below, work is actually well on it’s way. Even Mr. Krabs himself is there to oversee the construction!

I had no idea that I’d be writing about Spongebob Squarepants even once today, so the fact that this is our second story revolving around everyone’s favorite kitchen cleanser is a sign of something… I’m just not sure what. One thing it doesn’t mean is that I’ll be sitting at home all weekend watching the show.
