Governor's Ball: The Strokes Make A Triumphant Return [VIDEO]

The Strokes performed for the first time in three years on Saturday and the city gladly welcomed them back to the stage where they belong. The crowd went wild as the band stormed through most of their first two iconic albums-Is This It? and Room On Fire while smartly only sprinkling in a few hits from their later albums.
Singer Julian Casablancas sounded refreshed and better than he has in years and when the band closed with their biggest hit ever (that being “Last Nite”), the crowd went absolutely wild. When half of the crowd had already left, they performed an encore of “New York City Cops” and it was clear that The Strokes have made a perfect comeback.
