There will be more people than ever grilling bacon this Memorial Day–because bacon owns the internet, and is quickly becoming the one thing that everybody can agree on as a great American experience. Even the vegetarians out there have to begrudgingly admitting that bacon is part of what makes this country great. Memorial Day is all about honoring the freedoms that great men fought for, and there is no greater freedom than embracing bacony goodness in every part of a great American life.
And so let’s fly the Stars ‘n Stripes via bacon, and honor this proud nation in bacon, and, in general, pledge allegiance to bacon. And then you should check out some fine steaks in the shape of other things–which includes lots of patriotic meats…
