This isn’t just another Memorial Day Weekend–it’s also a celebration of summer movies, as we mark the 30th anniversary of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and the 30th anniversary of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. It’s in the history books, folks. Temple was released in American theaters on May 23rd, 1984, with Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade coming out on May 24th, 1989.
The audiences flocked to the multiplexes, too. Of course, that was back when everyone thought we were just getting an Indiana Jones trilogy. Now we’re dealing with an Indiana Jones series. Yeah, we have mixed feelings about that, too. We still have a love for Indiana Jones, though, and it’s time to celebrate the franchise with a look back at some fun facts.
