Billy Joel visits elementary school on Long Island for tribute concert
Billy Joel received an invitation to last night’s tribute concert at Deasy Elementary School in Glen Cove, NY, but nobody expected him to actually show up. According to our friends over at The Huffington Post, Billy Joel pulled up to the school on his motorcycle about five minutes before the show started. The school’s principal asked Joel if he’d like to sit in the front row, but he declined because he didn’t want to make the kids nervous. The concert was called “River of Dreams” and featured kindergarteners, first graders and second graders.
