The best parts of baseball’s seemingly interminable 162 game season for non-fans are the cool 30 second highlights. Everyone likes to watch a 65-year-old manager scream at an umpire, or see a triple play or watch a kid catch a foul ball in a popcorn bucket and lose his mind.
During a game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburg Pirates, a Cardinals player fouled a ball into the sparsely filled bleachers. Then the stadium erupted in applause for what might have been the play of the game. We can’t say for sure, because we didn’t watch the game. There are so many baseball games! Luckily, there are good people who work hard to isolate these cool moments.
