It was a good weekend for different movies sneaking out shots of anticipated characters in their best pics yet. The biggest payoff came courtesy of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who rocked the world with the first official shot of his turn in the upcoming Hercules–after the star spent a few months Tweeting out teaser pics. Now we finally get the full experience as seen above, and–is it just us, or did everyone else expect his hair to be much longer? We know the difference between Hercules and Samson, but we were still expecting something a little more dramatic.
Meanwhile, we also get a glimpse of Paul Giamatti as the supervillain Rhino in Amazing Spider-Man 2. The above pic shows off a lot of detail after some blurry pics from earlier trailers, along with a quick look at a leg and the face mask. We should probably add that Paul Giamatti probably isn’t anywhere near the set in the pic above. Also, we still wish that the Rhino was a big guy in a gray suit…
And we’re also very excited about this pic of a bald blue gal. Yeah. Her name’s Nebula, and she’s played by Scottish actress Karen Gillan–who’s looking good in the upcoming Marvel movie Guardians of the Galaxy. You might recognize Gillan from her stint on the British show Doctor Who, and it’s a big deal to finally see the movie’s main villainess…
It’s also fun to get more spoilage on some of our Most Anticipated Movies of 2014–and we’ll save money on tickets if this keeps up, since more and more studios seem to want us feeling like we’ve already seen their biggest movies long before they ever hit theaters.
