There’s a 90 percent chance you didn’t know his name but you definitely know his face. Sadly, James Rebhorn passed away on Friday at his home in New Jersey. He was 65.
Rebhorn was the ultimate “that guy” kind of guy. He was always hard to miss in the theater district. Rebhorn was in everything from Independence Day to the series finale of Seinfeld, when he played the district attorney. More recently he’s played the dad on Homeland. “He died on Friday at home with his loving family in attendance,” his representative, Dianne Busch, told CNN. His movie career earned Rebhorn an invitation to become a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts + Sciences in 2007.
You will be missed, sir.
