New releases: “Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD,” “Dr. Luigi,” “NES Remix” [GAMES ROUNDUP]

Game publishers have been slacking recently, too weighed down by egg nog and holiday party meals to bother pushing out much new stuff. That’s finally starting to change this week, with the first major release of the year in Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD, which itself is nothing new, but just an upgrade of a 2012 Vita game. Nintendo also went back to the well, giving Dr. Mario a revamp with Dr. Luigi, and probing its past with Wii Sports Club and NES Remix. Speaking of old school, fans of pre video game-era wonders will be in heaven with Zen Pinball 2.
