I was clicking around the internet and I stumbled onto this debut trailer for an upcoming movie called Raw. I wouldn’t necessarily call myself a ‘horror movie guy’ but I love the occasional terror-fueled piss dribble while watching a flick, so I checked out the trailer to see if it looked any good. As it turns out, this movie is apparently so scary/twisted/gross that it was making people faint at its Toronto International Film Festival screening in September.

Well, not only did it look good, but as it turns out, this movie is apparently so scary/twisted/gross it was making people faint at it’s Toronto International Film Festival screening in September.

Described by Toronto Film Festival as the story of “a shy, vegetarian student at a veterinary college [who] develops an insatiable lust for flesh as the result of a gruesome hazing ritual,” Raw was apparently so visceral that paramedics had to be dispatched to the TIFF screening after a few of the theater’s patrons passed out while watching.

Today the first trailer was released and it’s easy to see why people were dropping like flies.

Raw opens in select theaters on March 10, 2017.
