According to this study from Nerve, residents in New Mexico are the nation’s longest lovers–when it comes to duration of sex. Nerve used data collected from the app Spreadsheets which uses accelerometers (still my favorite word of this decade) and speakers to record “duration, thrusts, and decibel peak.” And the results might surprise you.
Take a look at the map below, then check out the actual times at the bottom and see where New York lands. OK, I’ll spoil the surprise for you. We’re #23. Right in the middle of the pack but it makes total sense.
First off, we’re busy right? New York minutes are short for a reason. Second… well sh*t that’s kind of embarrassing, actually. You know that everyone in “New York” who’s using this app is from either New York City, Long Island, or Westchester. These are the people I hang out with. I can’t really see many people from Troy, NY rocking a smartphone app. We need to step it up.
