ABOUT Stephanie

University of Missouri- Columbia (Mizzou), Junior

Why did you choose your school and what makes it better than the rest?

Before I switched my major, I originally chose Mizzou for its journalism program, due to it being one of the top in the country. My cousins had told me all about Mizzou and how there are so many opportunities to get involved and how Greek life is awesome. Before I rushed, my cousins told me that even if I didn’t get into a house, Mizzou is great because although we are more of a Greek life-heavy school, whether you’re in a fraternity/sorority or not, you can still go out and have just as much fun because the bar scene in downtown Columbia is huge. I feel that Mizzou differs in that sense because at a lot of other schools, if you’re not in a fraternity or sorority and you’re under the age of 21, you don’t seem to “fit in” as much fun as the people who are involved in Greek life, especially for guys.

What kind of activities are you involved in? (sorority, theatre, clubs, etc)

I’m involved in Alpha Phi at Mizzou.
