ABOUT Megan
University of Arizona, Senior
Why did you choose your school and what makes it better than the rest?
I was born and raised a wildcat by my parents . When I was deciding where to go for college I loved the idea of going to the school that had already had a big impacted on my life. My parents met in tucson, my mom worked at the U of A and my dad played hockey and graduated from U of A. U of A is with out a doubt the prettiest campus, the funniest people, and the most inspiring and influential environment EVER.
What’s your favorite spot on campus?
My favorite spot on campus is the Pink palace – Gamma Phi’s house. It’s the place where I go to escape, study, and take naps. (We have the best couches for taking naps).
What kind of activities are you involved in? (sorority, theatre, clubs, etc)
Throughout my time here at U of A, I’ve had my involvement in a lot of aspects of student life. I’m in a sorority, a member of Gamma Phi Beta, Alpha Epsilon chapter, I’m the social media director of U of A’s chapter of NPPA (national press photography association), and this will be my second year being U of A’s VS PINK Campus representative.
If you had to choose one social media to use for the year, what would it be and why?
Definitely Instagram. The editing a creating process (if your into that) that goes into a girl’s Instagram deserves some serious credit. It’s more creative and expressive than other social media channels. A close second is snapchat because I love documenting everything I do.
What’s your major/what are you thinking of majoring in?
Major in journalism, Minor in marketing
Who’s the most famous graduate from your school?
We’ve had a lot of NBA players graduate from UA, some actors and actresses, the today’s show host Savanah Guthrie but despite everyones belief Kourtney Kardashian did graduate with a bachelors degree from UA (My personal favorite)
Shaq’s son is attending UA 2017-2018, does that count?
Do you have a favorite sports team?
BIG hockey girl.
Detroit Red Wings all the way thanks to my dad engraining the traditions of hockey into my whole life.
