Why did you choose your school and what makes it better than the rest?
I would be lying if I said that Kent State was originally my first choice dream school. I grew up in a family of Kent alum and was determined to start school in a brand new environment and definitely somewhere further than 1 hour from my parents being that I am from Cleveland. However, life has a funny way of working, and my future was destined for Kent. I quickly fell in love with the University and everything it had to offer for my future career. The fashion school at Kent is absolutely incredible (#3 in the nation)! The study abroad experiences offered at Kent promise that we will stand out to future employers in addition to encouraging us to grow culturally while we travel to unfamiliar places and find ourselves. I currently live in my sorority house and love living with 32 girls, as hectic as it may sound!
What kind of activities are you involved in? (sorority, theatre, clubs, etc)
Alpha Phi – Assistant Director of Formal Recruitment
University Tees Campus Director – I sell and help design custom apparel and promo items for student organizations. I was recently promoted from campus manager to director and I’m so excited to lead a team of driven students.
If you had to choose one social media to use for the year, what would it be and why?
Instagram without a doubt. I love to see what amazing things my friends are doing and where they are going and I think photos help take part in capturing your greatest life events.
What’s your major/what are you thinking of majoring in?
I am studying Fashion merchandising with a minor in business management. Best decision of my life.
Do you have a favorite sports team?
GO CAVS!!
What is a nickname that your friends call you?
In highschool my friends called me “Cieves”, and now my friends at college call me “Jenpal” and “Jen”
Which celebrity would you invite to a dinner party at your house?
Oh my gosh. Nina dobrev. I fell in love with her while watching Vampire Diaries and I have been a huge fan of her and her personality in real life ever since. She and Julianne Hough are my life goals.
