I love my college because….
I wanted to get the best education I could in Ohio to become an Elementary School Teacher! I love my school, everyone is so generous and super welcoming and love saying hi! I’ve made so many new friends and I’ve had some great experiences. BGSU is definitely the home away from home and I’m so happy to be here!
I really hate when…
people chew with their mouth open! I can’t stand to hear people chew. It’s hard to earn respect in the professional world when you have awful manners! Manners matter and no one wants to see your food when you chew! 😉
I major in…
Inclusive Early Childhood Education, which means I will have a ton of school work to do (18 Credit Hours) to graduate in 4 years, and when I do graduate, I will have two licenses and be able to teach general education and special education! I want to teach kids and give them a strong support system and help them believe in their abilities to truly make a difference in the world!
My hometown is awesome because…
we are a college town to Kent State University, so we have a ton of things to do around town with a ton of people up for anything! Kent is also super homey; everyone supports the high school with whatever may be going on! Although we aren’t a small town, we really come together to support each other in times of need, have fun, and let loose. Kent is also a bit of a hippie town, so everyone is super easygoing and love to get out of their comfort zone!

being a freshman, I’m new to the school! Although, throughout high school I played golf and my sophomore and junior year, my teammates and I made it to the Division I State Tournament and came in 5th and 6th place! It was only the 3rd year our high school has had a girls golf team! It was an awesome experience to be a part of such a talented team! Im hoping to possibly play club golf here at BGSU! In high school, I was editor of the Yearbook which was an great experience and I was part of a program where we go on backpacking trips so I have actually hiked a part of the Appalachian Mountains! Although Bowling Green, Ohio is pretty flat, I hope to join a club like that to continue spending time outdoors!
The coolest class I’ve taken so far is…
Intro to Education! The Professor is really making me question the reason I have such an interest in teaching. Recently we wrote a paper called ‘What For,’ basically asking us not why we want to teach, but for what reason do we want to. I really enjoy that this class because it has so much depth and isn’t just basic teaching information.
My favorite late night study snack is…
popcorn for sure! I used to work at a popcorn shop, and I love all the different combinations of popcorn you have! Chocolate, to salty, to spicy popcorn is a great snack for any time of day, not just studying!
If I had 24 hours left to live, I would…
spend them with my family and my dog Rolo! They mean the most to me and I can’t imagine being anywhere else than with them saying goodbye and wishing everyone the best!
If I could change one thing about the world, it would be…
all gun violence across the world. Stop school shootings, police shootings, terrorist attacks and inner city deaths. I believe everyone should have the right to own a gun as long as they passed correct tests, but I would end the drive-by shootings and deaths that were of innocent people.
If I could give my younger self one piece of advice, I would say…
to try out for the cheer team to get more involved. I would also tell myself to not be afraid of making mistakes because that is the best way to learn, and there is no better way to learn than from myself.
I’m going to be Miss COED 2017 because…
I am true to myself on and off social media, and I would never be a fake person on social media. I am hoping that my funny and silly but sometimes serious personality truly shows through all of my answers. I hope to be a positive role model for all girls who are sporty and fun!
