University of Toledo, Junior

I love my college because…

it is only an hour from home so I am still close to my family. Also, UT is a larger university with a small campus feeling. The class sizes are smaller and the professors are easily accessible, which is perfect for me. Lastly, the people matter. I love that UT focuses on the spirit of sports, events, and traditions held on campus and makes the whole community and alumni feel so welcomed.

I really hate when…

people are slow walkers. The people that take their sweet time, walk aimlessly, and get in the way of people who are in a hurry. My second pet peeve is tangled headphones! It is the most annoying thing ever when you wrap up your headphones, put them away, and then when you go to use them, you spend five minutes untangling them! It never fails to happen.

I major in…

Communications with a focus on PR. In the future, I would love to work in the fashion PR industry, or work with a dance magazine or a dancewear line, helping with different PR tactics.

My hometown is awesome because…

of all of the memories that I have made. I love that my grandparents and most of my family all live on the same road. My family and friends are very important to me, so I always cherish the time spent with them in my hometown.

At school, you can find me…

involved in Kappa Delta Sorority, Public Relations Student Society of America, and Rockethon. I serve on the Kappa Delta Executive Board as Vice President of Public Relations, as well as on the Rockethon committee as Public Relations chair.

My ideal first date would be…

a picnic and a walk on the beach on a perfect sunny afternoon.

My favorite late night study snack is definitely…

Oasis, my favorite delivery restaurant in all of Toledo. Mac ‘n cheese wedges with ranch are always my go-to study snack.

If I had 24 hours left to live, I would…

spend it with my family and friends, no doubt. It’s the simple things in life that make it most enjoyable. Being surrounded by the people who I love and appreciate and who have made the greatest impact on my life would be who I want by my side until the very end.

If I could change one thing about the world, it would be…

public education. I believe that every child deserves a good quality, free education. The public education system has lost its sole purpose and the curriculum being taught is unsatisfactory. If I had all of the money in the world, I would spend it making sure that every child has access to quality education from kindergarten to college.

I’m going to be Miss COED 2017 because…

I believe Miss COED 2017 should be a woman that is genuine, confident, and an all-around good example to people of all ages! My life goal is to make a positive impact on as many people as possible, and being Miss COED 2017 is a great opportunity to do just that.
