ABOUT Brianna
California State University- Fresno, Senior
I love my college because…
it’s close to home, cheering for Fresno State has been one of the best experiences of my life, and joining a sorority has given me my lifelong best friends. Also our business program here at Fresno State is top-notch.
I really hate…
dirty people. I am a perfectionist and a clean freak and if your stuff is out of order, it annoys me.
I major in…
Business Marketing with a minor in Fashion Merchandising. I plan to move to LA after graduation and hopefully get a job in fashion marketing for a company or a magazine.
My hometown is awesome because…
of all the people and the food here. I mean, there’s not much to do, but my mom is here to spoil me still.
At school, you can find me…
as a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity, and I cheered at Fresno State for 4 years and just recently stopped.
The coolest class I’ve taken so far is…
a criminology class with a world-known author. All the random and easy General Education classes were my favorite, like Deaf Studies and Music.
My favorite late night study snack is…
chicken nuggets. They’re my weakness late at night.
If I had 24 hours left to live, I would…
I would hop on a plane and go somewhere cool that doesn’t take long to get to because I only have 24 hours. I would want all the people I love surrounding me and enjoying whatever beautiful place I’m at together.
If I could change one thing about the world, it would be…
the racism people still have or don’t even realize that what they are saying comes off racist. Being an African American woman in society, I’ve heard and seen things that get under my skin and I don’t think it’s funny at all. Some people want me to laugh with them, but it’s nothing to joke about.
If I could give my younger self one piece of advice, I would say…
Don’t care so much about what people think. Life’s too short to worry about everyone else but yourself. Live for you and not for others.
I’m going to be Miss COED 2017 because…
it’s finally my last year of college and I want to just do everything I can possibly with no regrets. I feel like doing this is pushing me out of my comfort zone, but I think I’ll have a lot of fun. Win or lose, at least I tried something new.
