Why did you choose your school and what makes it better than the rest?
I chose MSU because being from Lansing, I grew up a Spartan. So once choosing a college came around, State was the only place I could see myself because after so many years it had felt like a home (sort of) away from home already. MSU is unlike any other school because nowhere else will you see a student body and fanbase so loyal to a football team regardless of their season record. Nobody is on the fence about their Spartan Spirit-it’s go big or go home. And win or lose, we still have the best tailgates in the Big Ten.
What is the best on-campus food?
The best on-campus food is easily Wilson Late Night. Open 9pm-12am and perfect for late night study grub or munchies of other sorts, they are the only place that offered the comfort food that students really wanted. Chicken wings, pancakes and bacon, and most importantly macaroni and cheese were the most popular fan favorites.
What kind of activities are you involved in? (sorority, theatre, clubs, etc)
I am a member of Alpha Chi Omega. I love being outside and taking my kayak out with friends, kayaking, going to music festivals, working out, and cooking for my family and friends.
If you had to choose one social media to use for the year, what would it be and why?
I would probably use twitter because you don’t necessarily have an image to keep up on there. It’s sort of a free-for-all as far as content goes, and I could sit on their for hours and laugh at the accounts I follow and share it with my friends.
What’s your major/what are you thinking of majoring in?
I am an International Relations major with a Public Relations minor.
Who’s the most famous graduate from your school?
Most of our famous grads have gone on to become professional athletes, most notably Magic Johnson and Justin Abdelkader.
What do you know now that you wish you knew as a freshman?
budgeting your time is imperative to your success. You pay that much money to attend school to learn above all, so prioritize your education and then you can worry about your social life.
Do you have a favorite sports team?
When I’m not bleeding green, I’m rooting for the Red Wings.
