Why did you choose your school and what makes it better than the rest?
I chose Arizona State for a few reasons. The first and most important is that the journalism program is one of the top in the nation. Your professors are all currently in the field of journalism and their technology is top notch. Another reason I chose Arizona State is for the sports. PAC 12 football division one basketball, baseball and softball. Our women’s golf just won their division and Michael Phelps is our new swimming coach, need I say more? It’s also close to home. A 5 hour drive on the 10 West and I’m back at home with my family. The amount of school pride and opportunities they have here is amazing. It was the only school I applied to when I was in high school and I don’t regret a second of my time here at Arizona State.
What kind of activities are you involved in? (sorority, theatre, clubs, etc)
I’m in Delta Zeta, a Panhellenic sorority on campus and the Public Relations club. I was working for The State Press as their multimedia sports reporter my freshman year. (I quit because of scheduling issues).
If you had to choose one social media to use for the year, what would it be and why?
I would choose Twitter. The outreach you can get on Twitter is amazing. One Tweet can go viral in a matter of minutes. You can stay up to date with worldwide news every second and you can share other links videos and websites easily.
What’s your major/what are you thinking of majoring in?
My major is Public Relations (journalism and mass communications).
Who’s the most famous graduate from your school?
James Harden
Do you have a favorite sports team?
The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, 49ers, and anything asu!
What’s your top song on Spotify right now?
I don’t have a particular song, but anything by Chance the Rapper, Kanye, Travis Scott or Drake is going to be on my Spotify 24/7!
