Why did you choose your school and what makes it better than the rest?
I chose the University of Cincinnati because of the amazing academics for my major (fashion design) and the fantastic school spirit. The energy on campus is vibrant every single day, and is even better when there are special events going on (which is often). After being at UC for a year, I couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else. The friendships and memories I’ve made here will last me a lifetime.
What is the best on-campus food?
The best on-campus food is definitely the Chick-fil-a in Tangeman University Center in the heart of campus. The best part about it is that you can use your bearcat card to buy it! It’s also conveniently located near the Rec Center so you can burn off those calories to avoid the freshman 15.
What kind of activities are you involved in? (sorority, theatre, clubs, etc)
At UC, I am involved in many different activities. I am a student in the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning majoring in fashion design. This major is very demanding and competitive, so it is something that takes up a lot of my time during the semester. Outside of academics, I am a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and love spending time with my sisters. Whether its just hanging out at the house, going to different sporting events, or going to different greek events. There are so many different clubs and activities at UC, you’re almost guaranteed to find your niche.
If you had to choose one social media to use for the year, what would it be and why?
If I had to choose one social media to use for the year it would be Instagram. I love Instagram because I love photography and seeing other people’s lives through pictures.
What’s your major/what are you thinking of majoring in?
My major is Fashion Design. I am very passionate about creativity and creating your own style. Through my major I have met so many amazing and interesting people that have really opened my eyes to the world. After graduation, I would love to work for a athletic wear brand or start my own boutique/clothing store.
Do you have a favorite sports team?
My favorite sports team is any team from Cincinnati!
Which celebrity would you invite to a dinner party at your house?
If I could invite one person to my house it would be Diane Von Furstenburg. I look up to her because she has built her entire fashion empire around women empowerment. She has also founded the DVF awards which recognize women who are positively changing the world through their leadership and work.
