The Denver Nuggets incredible run in the NBA Playoffs will continue on Friday night with their toughest test to date inside of the league bubble at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex near Orlando, Florida.
Denver will be taking on LeBron James and the No. 1 seed Los Angeles Lakers in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals after back-to-back Game 7 rallies.
Because of the résumé the Nuggets have built since the NBA restarted its season, the Lakers know they cannot take their opponents lightly.
“To be honest, they’re a terrific basketball team,” Lakers coach Frank Vogel said, via ESPN.com. “They deserve to be in the Western Conference finals and they’re a handful with the way that they play, the movement, the passing, the cutting. Obviously, Jamal and (Jokic) have been playing at a super high level, and they’re playing with a ton of confidence. So I wasn’t surprised.”
The Lakers enter Game 1 on Friday night as 7-point favorites over the Nuggets.
