WATCH: Joe Biden Has Another Gaffe Saying ‘Poor Kids’ as Bright as ‘White Kids’

Former Vice President Joe Biden continues to make the rounds on the campaign trail, with his latest stop coming in Iowa where he addressed a crowd at the state fair. While speaking to those gathered, Biden made his latest gaffe that many are considering racially insensitive and/or patronizing.

While discussing race and education with the Asian and Latino Coalition, Biden said: “poor kids are just as bright and talented as white kids.”

He quickly tried to make the remarks slightly better by adding “wealthy kids, black kids, Asian kids, no I really mean it, but think how we think about it.”

The comments come after a serious of gaffes from the Democratic front-runner that included him saying Americans choose “truth over facts” earlier in the day. He also infamously told viewers following the second Democratic Debate to visit his website “Joe 30330” and confused the El Paso and Dayton mass shootings for taking place in Houston and Michigan.

The good news for Biden, however, is that he continues to hang on to the lead in the poll with 28 percent of support among potential voters in the Iowa caucuses. Senator Elizabeth Warren, however, is gaining ground and as jumped 7 points to 19 percent.

Unfortunately for Senator Bernie Sanders, his numbers are heading in the wrong direction after the first two debates. Sanders has dropped 9 points to 16 percent.

Sitting outside of the top three are Senator Kamala Harris with 11 percent which is a 4 point jump, while South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg continues to hold strong at 8 percent. All the way at the bottom of the poll is New York City mayor Bill de Blasio who has zero percent of support in the race.

The next Democratic Debates will take place in September, so we will have to see if the Vice President’s latest slip-up impacts his poll numbers before the next time he takes the stage.
