WATCH: Valentina Shevchenko Brutally KO's Jessica Eye to Retain 125-Pounds Title

Valentina Shevchenko scored a stunning knockout finish over Jessica Eye in the co-main event of UFC 238 in Chicago, Illinois to retain the women’s flyweight championship. Shevchenko unleashed a high left kick that landed directly on the button and knocked Eye out cold.
The end result was one of the most brutal knockouts inside of the Octagon that we have seen in the women’s division.
Eye remained on the mats for minutes before she returned to her feet and was helped out of the cage.

With the win, Shevchenko, advances to 17-3 in her professional mixed martial arts career with five knockouts and seven submission wins. Since her loss to current women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 215 in September 2017, Shevchenko has scored a second-round submission win over Priscilla Cachoeira and a decision win over former strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
