The manifesto, which details his motivations behind the shooting, can be found here.
“My name is John Earnest and I am a man of European ancestry. The blood that runs in my veins is the same that ran through the English, Nordic, and Irish men of old. I am a descendant of one of the original colonists of Roanoke—John Earnest” the manifesto begins.
Furthermore, in the manifesto, Earnest clarifies that he does not support President Donald Trump, calling him a “Zionist, Jew-loving, anti-White, traitorous c********r.”
Additionally, Earnest stated that he is not politically conservative because he is “not a useless, spineless coward.”
Earnest, who says in the manifesto that he is a nursing student, is currently in the custody of California police.

What Happened at the Chabad of Poway Synagogue?

The shooting reportedly began at 11:23 a.m. local time. Earnest was reportedly stopped from causing further destruction thanks to the bravery of armed civilians who were at the synagogue.
One female victim has reportedly died as a result of the shooting. In addition to the deceased, four other people were injured in the shooting and are in critical condition.
The victims have been identified as Rabbi Yisorel Goldstein, an adult male, an adult woman, and a young child. Rabbi Goldstein founded the Chabad of Poway Synagogue center in the year 1986.
Earnest, who was reportedly armed with an assault rifle, tactical helmet, and a tactical vest, has been arrested by authorities.
The Mayor of Poway says those in the congregation “engaged” the shooter.

The Aftermath of the Shooting

At the time of this writing, the victims who remain alive are reportedly in critical condition.
In a statement, Senator Kamala Harris said she was “disturbed” by the reports of the shooting.
“I am disturbed by reports of a shooting at the Chabad of Poway synagogue and am closely monitoring the situation,” Sen. Harris said in an official statement.
The mass shooting at the Chabad of Poway Synagogue came on the last day of Passover and exactly six months after the Tree of Life shooting that left 11 people dead.
The reports of a mass shooting at the Chabad of Poway Synagogue is just the latest in a string of lockdowns, bomb threats, active shootings and mass shootings that have plagued the United States of America in recent year.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families during this extremely difficult time.
