Jordana Brewster, born on April 26, 1980, in Panama City, is an American actress and model who is best known for her role of Mia Toretto in the long-running Fast and Furious action film franchise.
While Brewster was born in Panama, she moved to England when she was just two-months-old and was raised in London. After spending the early years of her life in London, Brewster and her family moved to Rio de Janeiro when she was 6-years-old before moving to New York City when she was 10-years-old.
Once in the United States, Brewster graduated from the Professional Children’s School before earning a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Yale University.
Brewster’s professional acting career kicked off in 1998, when she appeared in the Robert Rodriguez-directed horror science fiction film The Faculty.
Her big career breakthrough came in 2001 when she was cast as Mia Toretto in the racing action film The Fast and the Furious. She would go on to reprise her role of Mia Toretto in Fast & Furious, Fast Five, Fast & Furious 6, and Furious 7.
In addition to her role in The Fast and The Furious franchise, Brewster has appeared in film and television project such as The Invisible Circus, D.E.B.S., The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, Dallas, American Crime Story, Lethal Weapon, Magnum P.I., Chuck, and Random Acts of Violence.
Brewster is happily married to and shares two children with producer Andrew Form. The two got married in the Bahamas on May 6, 2007.
