While SportsCenter's Evening Hour Is Chaos, Nicole Briscoe Has The Morning All Locked Up

While ESPN has been seemingly struggling to lock down consistent SportsCenter anchors for their evening hour, it appears they have found the long-term solution for their morning hour, as Nicole Briscoe and Randy Scott has held down the 7 a.m. hour for some time now.
But who is Nicole Briscoe and where did she come from?
Briscoe was born on July 2, 1980, in the small Wisconsin town of Wausau. However, while Nicole was born in Wisconsin, she moved south to Illinois at an early age and was actually raised in a town called Roscoe.
A student at Hononegah High School until 1998, Briscoe was actually classmates with future barrier-breaking NASCAR driver Danica Patrick. In fact, the two were even on the cheer team together.
While in high school, Briscoe was a frequent beauty pageant participant, as she eventually became Miss Illinois Teen USA in 1998. As Miss Illinois Teen USA, Briscoe then competed in the Miss Teen USA pageant.
After graduating high school, Briscoe went on to attend nearby Northern Illinois University. Impressively enough, Briscoe got her first job in the broadcast industry when she was still in college, as she was hired as a general assignment reporter for WREX-TV in Rockford, Illinois.
Prior to hosting the iconic SportsCenter for ESPN, Briscoe worked for other outlets such as WREX-TV, WANE-TV, WISH-TV, and the Speed Channel.
In the year 2008, Briscoe made the jump to ESPN, where she played a major part in the channel’s coverage of NASCAR, as she hosted both NASCAR Now and NASCAR Countdown.
After ESPN lost the rights to NASCAR, Briscoe began contributing on other programs such as the X-Games and the Indianapolis 500. Finally, in 2015, Briscoe began hosting SportsCenter, which is a role she’s had since.
In 2018, Briscoe served as host for the telecast of the Indianapolis 500, which is significant because her husband, Ryan Briscoe, is actually an Indy car driver. Nicole married Ryan Briscoe in 2009 and the couple currently shares two children.
