Naomi Ackie Cast In The Upcoming 'Game Of Thrones' Prequel

Naomi Ackie, born in 1992, is an English actress who is best known for her roles in Lady Macbeth, Star Wars: Episode IX, and the upcoming Game Of Thrones prequel on HBO, which is expected to be released in 2020.
In 2016, Ackie starred in the British drama film Lady Macbeth — which earned her nominations in the British Independent Film Awards — alongside Florence Pugh, Cosmo Jarvis, Paul Hilton, and Christopher Fairbank. In 2017, Ackie won a British Independent Film Award for Most Promising Newcomer.
On Tuesday, January 8, 2019, it was announced that Ackie had been cast in the upcoming Game Of Thrones prequel that will star Naomi Watts in the title role. Ackie’s role in the upcoming Game Of Thrones prequel was not clarified when her casting was announced.
In addition to Naomi Watts and Naomi Ackie, HBO also released the rest of the Game Of Thrones prequel cast, which includes Denise Gough, Jamie Campbell Bower, Sheila Atim, Ivanno Jeremiah, Georgie Henley, Toby Regbo, and Josh Whitehouse. At this time, not much is known about the series other than the nature of Naomi Watts’ lead role, which has been officially billed as “a charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret.”
