The Netflix original film Bird Box , which dropped on the streaming service on December 21, has continued to gain popularity on social media following its release. Thanks to its eerie trailer and a star-studded cast — which included stars like Sandra Bulloch, John Malkovich, Sarah Paulson, Rosa Salazar, among others — there was plenty of hype.
But did the film deliver?
Bird Box, a film adaptation of a 2014 novel, has been met with mixed reaction.
Some compare the film to A Quiet Place, while others knocked the film for coming up short of its potential and really never developing characters or allowing viewers to truly understand the full danger of the threat in the post-apocalyptic film.
