Wait a second, that’s not Sean Spicer! Or is it? With that being said, let’s move on.

In 2011, Spicer became the communications director of the RNC and was given the role of chief strategist for the party in 2015. While in the RNC, Spicer was extremely critical of Trump’s comments towards Mexicans committing crimes in the U.S. It was evident that he didn’t agree with some of Trump’s philosophies.

Trump Administration: 2016-2017

Spicer became part of the Trump Administration in 2016 by becoming Trump’s press secretary and communications director. After Trump’s election, Spicer’s first public address wasn’t exactly the greatest. He felt that the ceremony had drawn the “largest audience to ever to witness an inauguration, period – both in person and around the globe.” Come on now, we all know that is completely foolish and a bit outlandish. Trump was extremely disappointed with Spicer’s work within the first few months of his presidency.

Resignation: 2017

In July of 2017, Spicer ended up resigning from his position as White House Press Secretary. He made it known to the public once Trump named Anthony Scaramucci as the new White House Communications Director. President Trump was reportedly dissatisfied with Spicer’s performance. Sarah Huckabee Sanders took Spicer’s position and he was still extremely upset with Trump’s decision of appointing Scaramucci.

Spicer had noted on The Sean Hannity Show in late 2017 that he would release a book about his time in the White House during the Trump administration. The book is scheduled to be released on July 24th. In addition to making appearances on a number of talk shows, he was satirized on Saturday Night Live. Melissa McCarthy portrayed Spicer in a number of skits and they were downright hysterical. Spicer had stated that he thought the skits were funny but felt as if McCarthy “could dial back” a bit. Jesus Sean, take a joke for once!
