After being left with a cliffhanger in Avengers Infinity War, we wonder why Marvel is releasing Ant-Man and the Wasp. We aren’t complaining, bring on all the Marvel movies. Looking at the trailers, they seem to be better than the first movie. But, that’s not why we are here, we are here to discuss why this movie is releasing after the recent Avengers film.

Fans have wondered why Marvel decided to go backward in their story rather than forward with the new Ant-Man movie. Now, before you say “what about Captain Marvel,” Captain Marvel is supposed to be set in the past, building up the character of who she is and how she came to be. Kind of like what Marvel did with Captain America the First Avenger. We get a taste of who Captain Marvel is and see how she can help the Avengers in the next movie in 2019.

With the confusion of the new Ant-Man movie coming out after the recent Avengers movie, there is no answer to why Marvel chose to do this. But, there is a thought that Marvel wanted to allow their audience to have an enjoyable movie to watch. Almost like clearing their minds of the shocking ending to Avengers Infinity War. And with Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly humorous banter, fans look forward to the comedic Marvel movie.
Marvel is saying that they aren’t worried about the small opening for Ant-Man and the Wasp. After the record-breaking opening of the Avengers movie, Marvel has understood that this will be a small film that won’t get that much attention like their others. Either way, even if it’s a small opening, they still win.

With no answers, we must wait for the movie to give us clews as to why Ant-Man and Wasp weren’t featured in the Infinity War. And then wait even longer after the credits to get a good idea on what could lead for Captain Marvel or the Avengers themselves. But, let’s face it we are very inpatient Marvel fans, we want to know now!
