Tori Sizemore, Miss South Carolina Teen USA 2013 and Miss Teen USA 2013 first runner-up, takes the stage for this year’s Miss USA competition as the reigning Miss South Carolina USA 2018. The 23-year-old succeeded 2017 winner Megan Gordon, who finished in fifth place at Miss USA a year ago. Sizemore will enter the pageant with high expectations with Miss South Carolina USA placing in the Top 20 in 15 of the last 19 years, including first runner-up Amanda Pennekamp in 2004.
Sizemore is a lifelong equestrian and recently graduated from Anderson University with a BA in Communications and Marketing. She hopes to pursue a master’s degree in marketing.
Sizemore is the oldest of seven children, and has a passion for foster children and adoption after her family adopted three biracial foster girls. She has worked closely with organizations in the community to increase awareness, raise money, and create media campaigns to benefit the foster care community.
Miss USA takes place Monday, May 21 at Hirsch Memorial Coliseum in Shreveport, Louisiana. The pageant will air live on FOX. The Miss Universe pageant will take place at a yet-to-be-determined date.
