Michelle McEwan will enter the upcoming Miss USA pageant as the reigning Miss New Hampshire USA 2018. The 25-year-old Harrisville native succeeded 2017 winner Sarah Mouseau for the crown and will be looking to be the first Miss New Hampshire to become a Miss USA semifinalist since Vanessa Bissanti since 2004.
McEwan traveled the world as a member of the Management in Training Program with the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts Thailand for two years before returning to the United States. She is currently a realtor in New Hampshire’s Seacoast area. Outside of her career, McEwan serves as an advocate for cancer research and education while being a weekly volunteer at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
She hopes to use her platform as Miss New Hampshire USA “to motivate and inspire others who have faced adversities to find ways to overcome the challenges, to stay positive and strong, both mentally and physically.”
Miss USA takes place Monday, May 21 at Hirsch Memorial Coliseum in Shreveport, Louisiana. The pageant will air live on FOX. The Miss Universe pageant will take place at a yet-to-be-determined date.
