Kalie Wright is set to wear the Miss Minnesota USA 2018 crown during the Miss USA competition with the hope of finding the same success as 2017 winner Meridith Gould, who finished as the second runner-up in Miss USA 2017. The 24-year-old Wright is a former Miss Idaho 2015 and National Sweetheart 2014.
Wright has found success in everything she sets out to do, whether it be beauty pageants, singing, or even athletics.
From her Miss USA bio:
With over ten years of vocal training, Wright was invited to tour with the Continental Singers as a musician, traveling to 37 states while fundraising for children’s hospitals. Graduating as president of her class, Kalie earned a full academic and athletic scholarship to play volleyball and study business and marketing. She spent three years as a spokeswoman for two national charity organizations, leading fundraising initiatives that raised over $50,000 for military dependents and veterans.
Miss USA takes place Monday, May 21 at Hirsch Memorial Coliseum in Shreveport, Louisiana. The pageant will air live on FOX. The Miss Universe pageant will take place at a yet-to-be-determined date.
